I think the degeneracy in America has deeper historical roots and goes back to the Puritans. Nasty bunch. We kicked them out for being extortionist witch hunters and blackmailers. They created misery ,mayhem and bloody murder under Cromwell. Then they screwed over the Natives in America.
The revolution only occurred because they needed carte Blanche to continue slave trading and ignoring treaties with the tribes.
